C.C. Coddington Loses Valuable Rings, But They Are Insured, July 6, 1921

Coddington’s Rings Were Fully Insured

Three rings, highly valued, lost or stolen from C.C. Coddington in New York last week, were insured for their full value, Mr. Coddington said Wednesday. He took the rings from Charlotte to New York where he joined Mrs. Coddington. The rings disappeared at a hotel there, and Mr. Coddington said he did not know whether they were lost or stolen. The hotel authorities promised to make every effort to locate them.

The Charlotte automobile distributor could give no estimate as to the value of the rights, though it was reported that they were worth several thousand dollars.

Mr. Coddington went to New York to attend the Dempsey-Carpentier fight. The rings had been deposited in a ban safety deposit vault and Mr. Coddington took them out on leaving for New York.
