Speakers For Secretaries' Meeting, Jan. 9, 1922

Mr. Scott to Speak at Secretaries’ Meeting

Greensboro, Jan. 9—Definite program assignments for the mid-winter meeting of the North Carolina Commercial Secretaries’ association, to be held in Winston-Salem, January 28, were announced Saturday by C.W. Roberts, president of the association. They show a list of subjects covering the every-day business of secretaries of chambers and other commercial bodies.

“Successful Methods of Collecting Dues” will be discussed by N.Y. Chambliss of Rocky Mount; “Methods of Increasing Membership” by F.N. Allen, Gastonia; “How to Handle Tourists” by T.F. Mffat [Moffat?] of Hamlet; “Co-operation With Other Civic Organizations by Burke Hobsgood of Durham; “Aiding Retail Organizations” by W.C. Denmark of Goldsboro; “Building the Organization Machinery” by W.T. Ritter of Winston-Salem; “Chain Store Membership” by L.T. Moore of Wilmington; “Location and Equipment of Chamber of Commerce Headquarters by H.T. Scott of Wilson; “How to Make Committees Function” by N. Buckner of Asheville; “Question Box” by N.Y. Chambliss of Rocky Mount.

The meeting will be confined to one day and the secretaries will devote most of their time to convention business.
