Raleigh, N.C., June 7 (By the Associated Press)—Election of officers for the ensuing year and adoption of a resolution instructing the President of the Society to urge the establishment of a chair of optometry at the University of North Carolina, was the principle business of the closing session of the annual convention of the State Optometric Society here today.
Officers elected were: President, Dr. W.M. Walker, Winston-Salem; vice-presidents, Dr. W.B. Morton, Louisburg; Dr. J.W. Taylor, Greensboro; Dr. K.H. Patterson, Henderson; and Dr. W.B. Hedrick, Raleigh; secretary-treasurer, Dr. John D. Perry, Winston-Salem.
Hendersonville was selected as the place of meeting next year.
