Locals from the Crouse Section

Crouse, N.C., Dec. 31—Miss Eva Dellinger of Arrona, Texas, is visiting Mrs. E.C. Sullivan.

Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Baker and Miss Emma Newton of Washington, D.C., visited Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Beam during the holidays.

Among the college boys and girls home for the holidays are Misses Beulah Heafner, Davenport College; Nell Harvey, Marjorie Chatman and Ethel Kiser, Lenoir-Rhyne College; Avia Sullivan, Josephine and Frances Rudisill, North Carolina college; Messrs. Byron, Dewitt and Harlan Heafner, University of N.C.; Robert Carpenter, Trinity college; and Ural Murphey, Wake Forest College.

Among those who are teaching and are spending the holidays at home are Misses Joyce Rudisill and Connie Heafner, Gastonia High school; Miss Mabel Rudisill of Winston-Salem; Miss Nell Hoover, Tryon school; Miss Willena Boring, Salisbury, N.C.

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. James of Lattimore spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Heafner.

Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Wooley spent Christmas with Mr. J.H. Wooley of Charlotte.

Rev. and Mrs. J.B. Fitzgerald and children spent several days in Mocksville.

Miss Avia Sullivan gave a lovely dinner party at her home Saturday evening. The following were invited: Misses Veola Heafner, Nell Harvey, Lois Carpenter and Messrs. Dewitt and Harlan Heafner, Yates Mauney and Guy Battle.

Misses Beulah Heafner, Nell Hoover and Charles Hoover Jr. spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Carpenter of Maiden, N.C.

Miss Lillian Heafner left Dec. 20th for Meadow, Texas, where she will spend some time with her brother.

Mr. and Mrs. J.D. McClurd and son James and Mrs. Maggie McClurd spent several weeks in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Mr. Everette Brown of Hamlet spent Christmas with home folks.

Rev. and Mrs. C.O. Lippard spent several days at Hickory, N.C.

Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Mitchell spent the holidays at Spartanburg, S.C.
