First "Dirt Farmerette" to Run for Congress, Aug. 16, 1924

Dirt Farmerette

Mrs. Huldah Ogden of Milford, Ky., is said to be the first woman in the U.S. to seek nomination as a candidate for Congress as a “dirt farmerette.” for 18 years she has been running a large farm as well as raising a large family. She was a delegate to the G.O.P. convention at Cleveland.
