Republican Ticket Won in Cherokee County, Nov. 7, 1924

Entire Ticket Victorious in Cherokee and Clay

The entire Republican ticket carried in Cherokee County. Voting was rather heavy.

On account of being unable to secure the tabulated vote from the board we are not able to give it here.

Lewis P. Hamlin led the ticket for congress in Cherokee.

Henry G. Robertson, Republican, of Franklin, carried this county and has apparently been elected as Senator from this district.

D.W. Swann was elected to the legislature as representative.

B.B. Morrow won over his opponent for sheriff.

A.M. Simonds was re-elected Register of Deeds by a good margin.

W.A. Adams was elected as county surveyor.

J.T. Dockery received a majority in the race for coroner.

W.J. Martin, T.W. Axley and W.T. Holland were elected commissioners by a safe majority.

Zebulon B. Weaver, democrat, was returned to congress from this district.
