Modern Bus Station Proposed for Greensboro, June 10, 1925

Propose Modern Bus Station for Gate City

Greensboro, June 9—Raleigh interests have approached city officials here concerning a de lux bus station here, a central one from which all lines coming in and going out of here would radiate. It would not be a co-operative proposition, City Manager P.C. Painter said today, telling how the matter was explained to him, but a privately owned terminal with a part of the receipts from the sale of tickets going to those operating it. It would not be such design that buses would not have to stop in the streets to load and unload. Like terminals would be established in other cities. Officials here are kindly disposed to the plan.
