T.P. Thompson Accidentally Runs Over His Wife Three Times, Aug. 25, 1925

Husband Runs Over His Wife Three Times

Bakersville Banner

Down near Mooresville the other day, T.P. Thompson took his wife out to ride, and on returning home she stepped from the car and directly in front of the machine, just as her husband attempted to drive away, and she was thrown under the front wheels, which passed over her. In the confusion and excitement, the old man backed the car over her and then started forward again, passing the woman’s body the third time.

She was carried to the Statesville hospital, and though badly bruised, examination disclosed that no bones were broken and despite her 65 years will recover. This was probably a pure accident: but if it wasn’t the gentleman will have to use some other means.
