Gastonia, Dec. 16—Carroll Shelton, star halfback on Pat Crawford’s championship Gastonia eleven, and Miss Alberta Rankin, prominent Gastonia school girl, were married Wednesday, it was announced today. Both were in the tenth grade and popular students. Shelton has dropped out of school and is now connected with a drug store here.
