Mrs. T.D. Clement, 75, Has Died, Aug. 14, 1923

Mrs. T.D. Clement Dead. . . Relic of the Late Clerk of the Court

Mrs. T.D. Clement, an estimable lady, died at her home near Enon early last Sunday morning, aged 75 years. She had been sick only a short while.

Mrs. Clement joined the Presbyterian Church early in life and so lived as to get much comfort out of the practical religion. “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you” was her motto.

The funeral services were conducted from the home at 10 o’clock Monday morning by Rev. J.G. Kennison, a Presbyterian minister of Durham. Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery, Oxford.

The active pallbearers were: R.H. Gooch, O.A. Daniel, Cam Easton, Dr. E.B. Meadows, James B. Powell, Will Landis, Sam Webb, Ed Clements. The honorary pallbearers were: Joe Baird, Charles Easton, Fred Currin, Luther Stark, J.D. Brinkley, A.A. Hicks, F.F. Lyon, Charles Landis, H.G. Cooper, John Paris, Capt. John B. Mays Sr., Luther Daniel, Charles G. Powell, Oscar Breedlove, John A. Williams, W.W. Fuller. The flowers were placed by Mrs. R.P. Taylor, Mrs. R.T. Smith, Mrs. A.A. Hicks and Miss Hettie Lyon.
