Court House Building Sold Monday, June 29, 1925

Court House Sold Monday. . . Building to be Moved Within 60 Days—Officers to Occupy Hicks Building

Rutherfordton, July 1—According to advertisement the court house was sold at public auction on Monday, M.L. Justice being the highest bidder at a price of $500. The conditions of sale require that the building be removed from its present site within 60 days.

The Cliffside Mills purchased form Mr. Justice the heating plant, and the seats in the court room to be used in the school building at Avondale, and men were at work Tuesday morning moving the same.

It is reported that the officers will occupy the Hicks building while the new court house is in course of erection.
