Fon Burke Married to Girl He Attacked. . . By Action He Has Wiped Out All Charges Lodged Against Him

Raleigh, Aug. 19 (AP)—Fon Burke, young white man recently arrested at Chatham charged with attacking a young woman of the county, has wiped out the charges by marrying the prosecuting witness.

Following Burke’s arrest by an armed posse which had been searching for him for several days, he was brought to Raleigh for safe keeping. Last Sunday night he was returned to the county jail at Pittsboro and on Monday night he married the girl who had charged him with capital offense, it was learned here today.
