Paper Mill Starts Operation Again

Asheville, Sept. 6—Between 600 and 700 men returned to work this morning at the big mills of the Champion Fiber Company at Canton, near here. The workers were laid off about two weeks ago when the plants were closed down temporarily, due to the lack of fall orders, it was stated.

An official of the company stated that the company now has enough orders to keep the workmen busy for about three weeks or longer. When the mills closed down, about 200 or 300 men were retained in certain departments and a large number of them have been repairing the plants.
