Mount Airy, Sept. 7—Tom Ashburn, who lives near town, had the misfortune to lose a tobacco barn and its contents by fire. The tobacco was curing nicely when the barn caught fire and was completely destroyed. The loss, barn, tobacco and flues, was at least $1,000. The tobacco would have easily brought $600.
