Dies of Typhoid

Statesville, Aug. 12—Richard Archbell, 11-year-old orphan, died yesterday morning about 4 o’clock at the Barium Springs orphanage of typhoid fever. The body in charge of young Archbell’s uncle, Mr. D.B. Archbell of Starr, will be taken tonight to Washington, N.C., former home of the boy, where the funeral will be conducted. Young Archbell is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Ellis Phillips and Miss Sarah Archbell of Washington; Edward Archbell of Tennessee; Sidney Archbell, Barium Springs orphanage. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips and Mr. D.B. Archbell were present at the time of his death. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips left for Washington yesterday.
