Cannon Memorial Building to be Dedicated Sept. 11, 1923

The Cannon Memorial Building, one of the finest gifts in the history of the Stonewall Jackson Training School, will be formally opened and dedicated next Tuesday, September 11th. For the occasion an interesting and appropriate program has been arranged, and the occasion promises to be one of the red letter days in the institution’s history. The memorial building will take the place of the school’s administration building, and has been made possible by the generosity and interest of Mrs. James W. Cannon, who gave the money for the building, which will stand as a memorial to her late husband. The fixtures of the building have been purchased by Mrs. Cannon’s children. Visitors to the school for the dedication services will be taken on a tour of inspection of the school, and the entire plant will be visited.
