Bank Examiner Closes Citizens Bank and Trust in Wilmington, Nov. 16, 1924

Wilmington Bank Closed by Latham. . . Citizens Bank and Trust Company Unable to Collect Promptly, Fails

Wilmington, Nov. 15—The Citizens Bank and Trust company, capitalized at $59,000, closed its doors at 11 o’clock this morning by orders of Clarence Latham, chief bank examiner.

Inability to collect promptly was the reason assigned for the closing of the bank, the business of which was small. The unsecured deposits amounted to $135,000.

J. Horton James was president of the bank and C.J. LeGrand, cashier.
