Wake Forest, April 6—Funeral services for Prof. H.S. Prichard will be conducted from the Baptist Church here Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock and will be in charge of Dr. J.W. Lynch, assisted by Rev. J.A. McMillan.
Prof Prichard, a member of the Wake Forest faculty in the department of chemistry since 1919, died suddenly at 9:30 today with heart failure, while walking from the Lea laboratory building to the office of Superintendent of Grounds Holliday. He was suddenly stricken and died before students who were with him could get him to the hospital, less than 200 yards away.
The sudden death of the much-loved professor left the college community and town dazed. Classes were suspended for the morning and the Elon-Wake Forest baseball game scheduled for the afternoon was cancelled.
