Columbia, Aug. 8—One of the greatest needs of Tyrrell County, of that adequate farming marketing facilities, is being felt here just now.
With carloads and truck loads of nice, fat, juicy watermelon coming into town, to be sold for just a few cents each, one would almost wish he were a camel or other animal of magnanimous capacity, to just see if he could eat a whole melon or more. And the melons that come from Riders’ Creek, Scuppernong, and Pea Ridge are certainly appetizing.
Yet there are thousands of people who would give several times as much for them as they sell for, if they could only get them.
