Sheriff’s Department Continues Capturing Liquor and Transportees

The Department of Sheriff Rector continues to capture stills, liquor and such as traffic in the stuff.

Last Sunday a week ago captured by the Sheriff’s department at Worley Cove, four barrels of beer. Last Friday on Little Sandy Mush—stills, barrels, etc.—the outfit, no men or liquor.

Baby Overland captured at Hot Springs last week with 7 cases of liquor 6 gallons to a case. The men escaped. Some night another car with ½ gallon liquor—three boys arrested and made bond, later heard before Roy Gudger and bound to court.

Hudson car caught last Tuesday night, 42 gallons—two men in jail from Asheville.

R.R. Special Agents at Hot Springs brought eight men to jail for hoboing.
