Funeral Services for Firemen Soon. . . Men Killed in Accident in Lexington Will be Buried There Tomorrow Morning

Lexington, N.C., Jan. 2—Funeral services for three Lexington firemen killed here New Year’s even will be held tomorrow, followed by interment at local ceremonies.

The funeral for Daniel C. Cope and his son, Edward, will be held from the First Methodist Church at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral of J. Howard Michael at Reeds Baptist Church, five miles west of here, at 2:30 o’clock.

Six firemen from each of the High Point and Thomasville fire departments will serve, with the same number from the local department, as pall bearers.

The condition of Henry C. Gibson and Henry Yarborough, two other firemen seriously injured in the accident that claimed the three lives, was reported unchanged today.
