Mrs. A.P. Gould of this town died at her home and that of her husband on 9th Street yesterday, about 10 o’clock—20 minutes till 10. She had been seriously ill several weeks, having been attended or set up with since the first days in December.
Her husband and sister, Mrs. Etta Albro, were those of her own folks at her bedside, and neighbors, her only son, Mr. Herbert Gould, who came to see her before Christmas had son back to Cleveland, Ohio. He was wired Tuesday immediately of her death and will probably arrive and return here Thursday for the funeral.
Mrs. Gould was the daughter of Elias and Frances Zollars Walcutt of the State of Ohio. She married to Mr. Gould April 2nd, 1879.
They moved to Wilkes County more than 10 years ago, having purchased an interest in and moved to the Gold Medal Orchards, Brushy Mountain, about 10 o 12 years ago, and afterwards to Norh Wilkesboro.
She has one sister, Mrs. Cora Kiethl, who lives at Canton, Ohio.
Mrs. Gould was 75 years of age the past August 22d, 1925.
She was a highly esteemed woman and was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and had made many friends here who will greatly miss her.
The funeral and burial arrangements had not been definitely made Tuesday.
