This afternoon at 3;30 o’clock, the funeral services over the body of Mr. DeWitt C. Sherard, who died at his home at No. 1202 East Walnut street at an early hour yesterday morning, will be conducted from the late residence by Rev. Tennyson Lewis, pastor of the Friends church, of which the deceased was a member, and the interment will be made in Willow Dale cemetery, this city.
The following will serve as pall bearers: Active—Messrs. W.C. Denmark; James Bryant; J. Gruce (Bruce?) Pate; David Pike; Robert Crow; Wendell Edgerton; Honorary—Messrs. A.T. Griffin, Ben Lewis, J.B. Pate, John W. McClenny, Sam Bridgers, and Dr. Z.B. Spence.
