John (Cadillac) Mews’ Sharp Top service station north of St.
Pauls was padlocked Friday, Sheriff Willis C. Britt revealed. The place, alleged
to have been a dispensary of bootleg liquor, was closed upon an order signed by
Judge Q.K. Nimocks Jr. of Fayetteville.
Mews is currently at liberty on bond pending appeal of a 12
months’ road sentence in Robeson Superior court following conviction of a
charge of violating the liquor laws.
