“Raise Your Own Work Horse,” April, 1932, Farmers Federation News
The Farmers of
Buncombe County are now facing a work-horse famine. In a very short time most
of their surplus money will be going to other states for teams to do their work.
The Farmers
Federation, realizing this fact, is offering the services of this beautiful
draft stallion. He will be located at the Clyde Reed Sales Stable, Asheville,
N.C., at the old Smith’s Bridge.
He is seven years
old, weighs 1,715 pounds, and is solid black in color. The service fee will be
$10.
