From the Rockingham Post-Dispatch, September 7, 1922
Nash Jarrell, 23-year-old son of Mr. W.C. Jarrell of
Roberdel No. 2, was bitten by a dog Tuesday. The dog was killed and its head
sent to Raleigh for examination. The report received was that the animal had
rabies. Dr. McIntosh is treating the young man at home, and no bad effects are
anticipated.
