S.H. Farabee on Good Women, Good Creameries, Uncle Watt Shuford, 1916

From the editorial page, S.H. Farabee, editor of the Hickory Daily Record, Sept. 25, 1916
The good women of Lenoir deserve the praise they have been receiving at the hands of the state press, for the beauty spots they have made in their town. The easiest way would be to allow the old rubbish to remain where it can be seen, but the good women of Lenoir supplanted it with flowers. The aesthetic sense is developed to the nth power in the women, God bless ‘em, and they are always leading I some movement for the good of us all.

Both the Asheville Citizen and the Charlotte Observer have big visions for the creamery interests of Asheville, Charlotte and Greensboro, where Uncle Watt Shuford is pushing the enterprise. You can put it down straight that Uncle Watt will keep ‘em moving.
