Numbers Drawn for 13 Million Draft Registrants, Dennis Powell of Lumberton Tops the List, 1918

The drawing of order numbers for the 13 million draft registrants enrolled September 12 was started Monday by President Wilson. The complete master lists will be mailed to district draft boards.
Dennis Powell, colored, of Rt. 3 from Lumberton, has the serial number 322, corresponding to the first number drawn, in Robeson division No. 1, and hence holds first place in his class. Others in Robeson district No. 1 included in the first 100 numbers drawn, in order, are:
