Robert Harper, 25, negro employee of the Durham Hosiery Mills here, who was injured Friday evening, appeared to be doing nicely late yesterday afternoon. The negro was caught in the machinery and as a result suffered five compound fractures in his left arm and a dislocation of the left shoulder joint. At first his condition was thought to be much more serious, the ragged protrusion of the bone making the wound an extremely nasty one in appearance.
