Mrs. J.C. Ashworth, age 54, of 811 North Mangum street, died Saturday afternoon at 12:40 o’clock at Watts hospital from paralysis. She was sick one week.
She is survived by her husband, J.C. Ashworth, and eight children, four girls and four boys as follows: J.H. Ashworth of Fayetteville; W.A. Ashworth of Raleigh; R.S. Ashworth of Fuquay Springs; Mrs. Sarah Bradley, Mrs. Harry Lee, Mrs. W.E. Jackson and Miss Esther Ashworth, the latter four residents of Durham.
The funeral will be held at the home Monday morning at 11 o’clock, conducted by Rev. G.L. Cooper of the Trinity Avenue Presbyterian church, after which the remains will be carried to Fuquay Springs for burial. The pallbearers will be C.C. White Jr., R.L. Brockworth, J.E. Boykin, John Lewis, W.A. Dones, and Jesse Jones of Fuquay Springs.
