Mrs. Charlotte Kinlaw, 80, Died at Home in Howellsville, Jan. 23, 1924

Mrs. Charlotte Kinlaw. . . Aged Woman Died Yesterday at Home in Howellsville Township---Funeral This Afternoon

Mrs. Charlotte Kinlaw, aged 80 years, died early yesterday morning at her home in Howellsville township of the infirmities of old age. She had been in declining health for some time but apparently not seriously ill until Tuesday night when she became much worse. About 4 o’clock yesterday morning she seemed to be getting better, but two or three hours later when the family arose they found her cold in death. It is thought that she died soon after being put to bed at 4 a.m. yesterday.

Deceased was the wife of Mr. James Kinlaw and a good woman who will be sorely missed in her community by all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Zion’s Tabernacle church, where she will also be missed.

Surviving are her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Sis Simmons, who lives on R. 1 from Lumberton, and Mrs. Katie Wilson, who lives on R. 7 from Lumberton.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home, conducted by Rev. P.T. Britt, pastor of deceased, assisted by Rev. I.P. Hedgpeth. Interment took place in the family burying ground near the home.
