In Memory of Mrs. Mark Bryson, April 11, 1924

Resolutions of Respect

On the morning of July 10, our sister and co-worker, Mrs. Ma?? Bryson, wife of Mark W. Bryson, closed her eyes on the scenes of the earth to open them on the beautiful city beyond, where no suffering can ever come nigh her again.

Mrs. Bryson was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful member of our church and a loyal member of our missionary society. She was greatly interested in the progress of her Lord’s Kingdom. She was a ???ly character. Her life was a beautiful expression of the power and sweetness of the gospel. Now she will be missed by friends and neighbors.

Therefore be it resolved by the Webster Missionary Society:

I. That our society has lost a faithful and beloved member, our church a loyal member, our community a noble woman, her children a loving mother, her husband a devoted wife.

II. That while we feel deeply our great loss, we bow in humble submission to His divine Will, realizing that He knoweth best and doeth all things well.

III. That we extend our heartfelt sympathy and love to the bereaved husband and family, and pray that they may all be reunited in the heavenly home, where the family circle will never more be broken by death.

IV. That we dedicate a page on our society records on which to perpetuate her memory as a token of our esteem and love.

V. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved family, one be sent to the Biblical Recorder, and one to the Jackson County Journal for publication.

Respectfully submitted, Mrs. Roxie Cowan, Miss Laura Stillwell, Miss Lillian Stillwell, Committee Webster Baptist Church From the front page of The Jackson County Journal, Sylva, N.C., April 11, 1924
