L.M. Gillon Is Named Recorder for Kannapolis

Acting under authority granted them by the last Legislature, members of the board of county commissioners at their meeting Monday ordered a recorder’s court established in Kannapolis for the trial of criminal cases that might properly come before it and named L.M. Gilion as Reorder for the court.

Mr. Gillon’s term will be fore two years under the order of the commissioners, and he will begin his duties at once.

The sessions of the court will be held in the building used by the police department, according to the order.

The bill authorizing the court for Kannapolis was sponsored by Major W.A. Foil in the last session of the Legislature and under his guidance it successfully passed the legislative grind.
