Cross City, Fla., July 17—Thomas W. Higginbotham, former Dixie City lumber camp “whipping boss,” today was found not guilty by circuit court on second degree murder charge for the alleged slaying of Martin Talbert, a North Dakota youth.
A year ago, Higginbotham was found guilty as charged but a new trial was granted by a Supreme Court decision.
