Sanatorium, N.C., July 11—The Board of Directors of the North Carolina Sanatorium, at their regular quarterly meeting July 8, authorized the erection of a new nurses’ home as part of the permanent improvement program at Sanatorium. Plans and specifications for the home have been drawn up and accepted by the Board of Directors, and the building will be proceeded with immediately.
Mr. A.B. Croom of Winston-Salem, the new member of the board, attended the meeting and was duly installed.
Mrs. Agnes M. Hill, field Statistician for the National Tuberculosis Association, who was at Sanatorium this week collecting statistics. The North Carolina Sanatorium was selected as one of three state sanatoria in the United States by the National Tuberculosis Association for the compilation of data of advanced cases of tuberculosis admitted to institutions for the treatment of tuberculosis 10 years ago and now.
