Funeral services for Mrs. E.V. Malden, who died early Saturday morning at her home here on First street were conducted yesterday afternoon at 5 o’clock at the home by Dr. Chas. H. Durham, pastor of the First Baptist church. Interment was made in the family plot of the cemetery near the old county home.
Deceased was about 21 years old, and had been ill for only a short time. Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Mrs. Alex Phillips; two brothers, Messrs. Rowland and James Phillips; and one sister, Miss Laura Phillips, all of Lumberton.
