After a lingering illness, Mr. Calvin G. Frazier passed away Sunday afternoon at 5 o’clock, Oct. 25th, at his home on Depot street. Rev. E.V. Bamgarner, pastor of the First Baptist church, conducted the funeral service from the residence Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, and interment was in the town cemetery.
Mr. Frazier was a native of Wilkes county but had lived here for a number of years. He was loyal member of the Baptist church. Surviving him are his widow, who was Miss Mary Brookshire of Wilkes county, and three sons, Mr. C.L. Frazier and Mr. Chas. Frazier of Statesville and Maurice Frazier; two daughters, Mrs. Asa Oliver of Stony Point and Miss Lola Frazier. Deceased was 73 years of age.
