Criminal Cases in Judge Dunn's Court, Nov. 9, 1925

Superior Court. . . Criminal Term Begins Here Today with Judge Albion H. Dunn Presiding—Jail Cases to be Tried First—Calvin McRae Faces Only Murder Charge on Calendar—Maxton Man Charged with Burning Property. . . Several Other Cases

Robeson Superior Court for the trial of criminal cases convened here this morning with Judge Albion H. Dunn of Greenville presiding.

The following jail cases will be tried before the trial of those out on bond.

Calvin McCrae, charged with murder as resulting of killing which took place at card game in swamp near Rowland.

Grover and Archie Moody and Carson Heairs will be tried for highway robbery in connection with the hold-up about 60 days ago when a Mr. Fenegan, fruit salesman of Dillon, was robbed of $60. The assault took place at night on the Ashpole swamp crossing between Fairmont had Dillon.

Jack Griffin and Jim Barfield will be tried for robbing box cars.

Roy Smith is charged with an assault with deadly weapon.

Among the other cases which will attract wide attention is one charging J.A. McDonald of Maxton with burning the Carolina Hotel in Fairmont about three years ago.
