Judge Albion H. Dunn, presiding over a regular term of Superior Court for the trial of criminal cases here this morning, ordered that Rural Policeman S.D. Strain and F.L. Siton, chief of police of Red Springs, each be fined $25 for failing to answer in court after having been subpoenaed as witnesses.
Attorneys in the case explained to Judge Dunn that the officers were attending recorder’s court in Red Springs this morning. “Well, this court has a little more importance attached to it than a recorder’s court,” replied the judge.
