Albert Vance Weaver, former Cleveland County boy, was killed by a street car in Evansville, Ind., one day last week. Young Weaver, according to the meager reports reaching Shelby, was driving a truck in the Indiana city, where he had been located for about a year, when he was struck by the street car. It was not known whether or not death was instantaneous.
Mr. Weaver was the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Weaver, both deceased but formerly of the Lawndale section, and is prominently connected over the county. He is survived by one brother, Paul, and two sisters, Pearl and Mattie, all of whom are married. He also has an uncle living in Shelby, Mr. F.B. Weaver who is connected with the Shelby Corn Mill. The victim of the accident, boy of about 25 years, was himself unmarried, and had spent some time in the Navy, before going to Indiana.
His body will arrive in Shelby about 8 o’clock this afternoon, and interment will take place some time Tuesday at New Bethel Church.
