J.A. Courtney Planning Catawba County Poultry Club, October 1920

A movement to form a poultry club in Catawba county for the purpose of improving the various breeds, placing the birds on exhbition at th elocal and other fairs and for having a poultry show here later in the winter ahs been set in motion by Mr. J.A. Courtney Jr., who has discussed it with a number of poultry raisers. All persons interested in better poultry may communicate with Mr Courtney and exchange views as to the practicability of the movement. (From the Hickory Daily Record, Oct. 16, 1920)
