Offie M. Potts, aged 18, died at his home here Friday night at 8:20 o’clock of tuberculosis. He had been seriously ill since January, and his death was not unexpected. He held a position with the Carolina Battery Company of Charlotte until the illness forced his retirement from work and since then he made his home here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.G. Potts of the White-Parks mill neighborhood.
In addition to his parents, the deceased is survived by two brothers, D.G. and W.B. Potts, both of Cramertown, and two sisters, Mrs. Notie Ferrell and Mrs. Beulah Ridenhour, both of this city.
The funeral services will be conducted from his late home on Reed street tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock, conducted by Rev. C.c. Myers, and interment will take place in Salem churchyard in Davie county.
