Saturday Was Quiet, Say Durham Police, June 15, 1924

Saturday a Quiet Day with Police

Saturday was unusually quiet in Durham with respect to law violations, according to the blotter at police headquarters. When the clock struck midnight there were but 11 charges listed against citizens of Durham, and they were uniformly of minor nature, traffic and sanitary law violators for the most part. Those who will face Recorder Graham Monday morning, together with the charges preferred against them, follow:

Brit Peel, illegal possession of liquor

Alvin Lyon, capias

Lawrence Synaker, giving worthless check

Luther Price, drunk and disorderly

M.K. Kiever, violation of the traffic law

Jim Suitt, violation of the traffic law

Jack Hill, violation of the city ordinances

Jim Perry, violation of the city ordinances

Ed Bumpass, violation of the city ordinances

Hugh Jones, larceny

From page 2 of the Durham Morning Herald, Sunday, June 15, 1924

Article says 11 were charged but story only lists 10.
