William Hammond, a son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Hammond of Asheboro, has been elected assistant chemistry teacher at Guilford College. Mr. Hammond has been a member of the Sophomore class at Guilford this year and has done some work in this department during the year. This is a distinct honor for a young man, but his friends agree that it is worthily bestowed.
