Escapee Jesse Robinson Returned to State Penitentiary, Nov. 17, 1924

Escaped Convict Is Captured and Returned to Prison. . . Rural Policeman R.C. Miller Captured Jesse Robinson Near Bellamy—Serving an Indeterminate Sentence When He Escaped

Jesse Robinson, Indian, who escaped from the State penitentiary last June, was captured a few days ago near Bellamy, but Rural Policeman R.C. Miller, who took him to Raleigh Friday and turned him over to prison authorities.

Robinson was serving an indeterminate sentence of from 3 to 5 years for breaking into a house. He was tried and sentenced in Richmond county Superior court. He had served five months of his sentence when he escaped.
