R.E. Hill, manufacturer of ice cream and owner of Hills Shoe Store, is adding a $4,500 refrigerating and cold storage plant to his ice cream manufacturing business. The plant is now being installed and should be completed by the last of next week.
The addition will not increase the 500-gallon per day capacity of the plant, but is being installed in order that surplus cream may be stored to meet demand without the cost and trouble of constant icing.
This addition will bring the Hill plant up to a modern standard and permit a better service at the same cost. Mr. Hill expects to increase his advertising appropriations and put his product on the market in competition with all other brands being sold in Whiteville.
