A Chapel Hill friend of Edwin A. Alderman, formerly president of the University of North Carolina and now president of the University of Virginia, received a letter from him this week. It was written in Karlsbad, Bohemia. Mr. Alderman wrote that he was leaving for Nuremberg and would go on, by way of Munic, Verona, Genoa, Nice, and Marseilles, to Geneva to attend the meeting of the League of Nations.
From page 3 of The Chapel Hill Weekly, Friday, Sept. 11, 1925. Munich was spelled “Munic” in newspaper article. Maybe it was spelled that way 100 years ago??
