Lenoir, Sept. 2—Fourteen bench warrants were issued Tuesday by Judge T.J. Shaw against Blowing Rock persons, result of an attack and assault on Coot Robbins and Dewie Storie Saturday night by a number of hooded and masked men. Three of the persons are officers, who it is alleged, failed to take any hand when the attack occurred and refused to assist citizens in the enforcement of the law in breaking up this attack. The three officers are Bud Bauguss, N.C. Green, and Dave Wooten.
The others named in the bench warrant are Jesse Hollifield, Ed Hollifield, Stuart Cannon, George Crisp, Cling Miller, Clint Cannon, Charles Moody, Smith Mamlett, Wiley Hollifield, Buck Bolick, and Lon Peoples.
