H.L. Ferguson Granted Temporary Parole

Raleigh, Oct. 26—H.L. Ferguson, Wilkes county, serving a 23-months sentence for a statutory offense, today was paroled for 30days to allow him to attend to personal affairs needing his attention. The action taken by the governor on the recommendation of H. Hoyle Sink, pardon commissioner, followed recommendation received by the governor to the effect that Ferguson has made a good prisoner. Ferguson is paroled until December 1, conditional on his filing a $500 bond with the clerk of the superior court of Wilkes county. Ferguson has served 14 months of his sentence, exclusive of “good time.”
