J.C.P. McDonald Elected Post Commander of American Legion Post 51 for 1926

J.C.P. McDonald Heads Local Legionnaires. . . Officers for Year Elected at Recent Meeting—Take Posts on First of January

The following officers were elected at a recent meeting of the American Legion, Fred Y. McConnell post, No. 51, for the year 1926:

J.C.P. McDonald, Post Commander

C.A. Cook, First Vice Commander

Z.P. Thornburg, Second Vice Commander

Brice Sloop, Adjutant

C.L. Propst, Finance Officer

W.S. Bogle, Service Officer

V. Walter, Historian

John Parish, Sergeant-at-Arms

Jess B. Raiford, Publicity Officer

M.B. Sherrin, J.T. Cline, E.E. Barrier—House Committee

Executive Committee: E.E. Starnes, M.B. Sherrin, S.V. Whitley, F.W. Blume and G.S. Graeber

These officers are to be inducted into office on January 1st when they will assume charge of the duties of their posts.

A regular meeting of the Legion will be held on Friday evening, November 20th.
